If you are wanting to start your own family then there are a few things that you are going to need to keep in mind. Many people will want to start their own family without really thinking about the facts or planning them out. Just because you love kids and get starry eyed when you see a little baby does not necessarily mean that you are ready for a family of your own.
Financially Ready
Babies are expensive. You need to make sure that you are financially ready to have a child. This does not necessarily mean that you have to be rich but living paycheck to paycheck on your own means that it is going to be really financially tight whenever a baby comes. If you want to be able to raise a baby with less stress, then make sure you are financially ready.
Mature
You need to be mature to have a child. Being selfish is simply not going to cut it. You will need to be able to wrap your head around the notion that it is not just about you anymore and that every and all decisions that you make are going to greatly affect another human being. If this sounds like a lot, then you may need to allow yourself to mature some more.
Relationship
Babies are stressful and a lot of work, your relationship is going to end up being something that is going to go through even more stress. If you and your partner aren’t on solid ground, then don’t bring a baby into it.
